I'm pleased to report that we're officially on revision 22 of both NoteTaker 4 and NoteShare 4. Our internal testing is now shifting to focus on the validation of our user documentation which is both tedious and necessary to note all the changes we've been making.  The "behind the scenes" effort continues as we begin to see more daylight.  We appreciate your patience too. The daily software testing results are really encouraging.  Mike continues to nail down problems and crashes as they're reported.  Stay tuned for more updates on our progress.

We really appreciate reading your email messages of encouragement as well as your kind thoughts regarding our revitalized development efforts.  Every internal version so far has brought new insights as well as a handful of annoying bugs and issues to be resolved. Thankfully we have years of experience bug tracking, making fixes while also dealing with Apple's many changes especially with the way MacOS security and sandboxing work for protecting users from malware.  We are currently testing Version 18 of both NoteTaker 4 and NoteShare 4.

Since we are blogging again, I have had many an occasion to reflect upon our past design decisions, the evolving product roadmap and the choice of key functionality.  It's no surprise then that the "web" or rather the "Internet" has played a critical role in the origin of NoteTaker's core feature set. The idea of clipping information from other sources to a personal notebook is both subtle and sublime.  But even clippin...

We're busy working on the latest version of NoteTaker 4 and NoteShare 4 which are now in internal testing.  Just to keep perspective on our efforts, this has been a long and difficult endeavor to bring our code base in sync with all the numerous changes that Apple's been making to MacOS (OS X sounds better to me) over the past years (some reasonable, some frustrating and some puzzling).  In short, we're creating a more solid foundation for future versions of our products if the demand continues to be there to fund the effort.

And finally, this is truly an "under the hood" version that will allow us to make improvements in more visible ways as we move forward.  It sounds cliche but a lot of deprecated code and features had to be removed or changed to get us on a solid foundation.

If testing continues to go well, we hope to launch NoteTaker 4 and NoteShare 4 by the end of this year.  They will be simpler, faster, 64-bit, and with a familiar but cleaner UI....
