Who is eligible for this upgrade offer?
If you're a registered NoteTaker user, you may purchase NoteShare at the special upgrade price of $39.95. You will need your original email address and license key information to qualify which is available for look-up during the upgrade purchase process.
I own both NoteTaker and NoteShare already. Am I allowed to buy another NoteShare license at the special price? Yes.
How many machines can I run my new NoteShare license on?
You may install and run your new NoteShare license on any three of your own machines.
Can I use both NoteTaker and NoteShare on the same network at home or at the office?
Yes.
Should I run NoteShare and NoteTaker on different machines?
Yes.
Why are you making this special upgrade offer available now?
In the near future, we'll be releasing software for mobile clients including iPhone and iPad devices. The new mobile products will require NoteShare if accessing and working with your own notebooks. NoteShare is an ideal tool for both individuals as well as workgroups.
Are my NoteTaker notebooks compatible with NoteShare notebooks?
Yes, they are the same notebook document format used by NoteShare.
What other features does NoteShare include that NoteTaker doesn't?
NoteShare supports P2P (peer-to-peer) sharing over local networks and the Internet. This means you can open a notebook on your own machine and then share it instantly on your home network for access by another NoteTaker or NoteShare user. NoteShare also has enhanced web notebook export features for users who need more control over their notebook web sites.
NoteShare users can also share their notebooks for access by Windows PC and Linux users running NoteShare Express Desktop software (available in September 2010).
The NoteShare Express applet plug-in can be added to NoteShare to support web browser access (see the NoteShare Express Product page).
What Apple OS X system version does NoteShare require?
NoteShare requires Mac OS X 10.5 or higher.
How long will the upgrade offer be available?
The upgrade program ends December 2010.
When NoteShare is upgraded later this year with new features and support for mobile clients, will I have to pay again to upgrade to the new version?
No. If you are already a registered NoteShare user at that time, you will be able to download the latest version for free.
