Insert a Voice Annotation
Annotate your notebook with voice memos, and organize them as endnotes in the notebook's
Annotations section, by recording them via the Create Hyperlinks panel. This is similar to
recording directly from the Voice Memo panel, except the recording appears as single icon in
your outline, and it's copied to a separate Annotations page (along with any text annotations).
1
Click in your outline where you want to insert the voice annotation.
2
Open the Create Hyperlink panel (Edit > Create Hyperlink) to Voice Memo.
3
If you haven't already configured your Voice Memo panel with appropriate settings
for recording a memo, click the Voice Memo Panel button to open the panel and do
so. Then click Record to begin recording your annotation. Otherwise, stay in the
Create Hyperlink panel and click Record Now to begin recording right away.
4
When you're done recording, click Stop in the Voice Memo panel. Then click Link to
Voice Memo in the Create Hyperlink panel.
5
To play back the annotation, hold down the Option key over the inserted voice
annotation icon, click the same icon in the attributes column, or double-click either
icon to open a playback panel.
