Create Summary Reports
Highlight and summarize notebook entries based on text they contain, any assigned category or
priority, the date they were created, whether they're flagged, or all of these criteria at once.
Quickly assemble a report on of high-priority deadlines, addresses for a mailing list that aren't
too
out of date, or study notes for a school report.

Click the Highlight & Summarize tool in the toolbar, or choose Tools > Highlight &
Summarize > Highlight & Summarize.

In the panel that opens, type any text you're looking for and/or specify one or more
other criteria for refining your results. Then select a Summary Page option and click
Highlight.

Copy Highlighted copies all entries matching your criteria to a
new Summary page
Copy Parent also copies an entry's parent, if it has one
Move Highlighted or Move Parent removes the original entry,
so the only copy left is on the Summary page
Choose an action and
click Highlight.
Choose a scope
for your report
Use the "Short Date"
format specified in
your International
Preferences (in
Apple's System
Preferences)
List results under
their section
and/or page
names, on the
Summary page
Narrows the selected scope further to
selected outline entries, pages, or sections
