NoteTaker Demo Plug-Ins
NoteTaker includes the following demo Java applets available from the Plug-Ins tool.
Calc - Performs simple math on numbers listed in outline entries
Calc computes all numbers (no commas) that appear first in each of its immediate sub-entries
(one level down, only).
DBquery - Performs database queries from within notebook pages
DBquery embeds SQL queries in an outline entry and retrieves data from remote servers, such
as the default test server hosted by AquaMinds in California (USA), below. DBQuery uses an
open-source MySQL JDBC driver and can access MySQL databases, only. It can also be
"extended" to access any database for which there is a JDBC driver, including most commercial
systems such as Oracle, IBM/DB2, Sybase, MS SQL Server, MySQL and FileMaker.
SketchPad - Add freehand drawings to your notebook
SketchPad is a multi-page, freehand drawing program driven by a mouse other pointing device.
Draw or type text with the Pen or Text tool (select a Color for either tool, line thickness for the
Pen, and a font for Text). Click the Selection tool to select individual drawings on the page. Click
inside the canvas and click Copy to paste your sketch as an image, either in a notebook or in
another application, like Mail.
