If after removing or rearranging annotations, your auto-numbered links are out of order, choose the
Tools > Renumber Annotation Links command
.
To delete an annotation, delete both its link from your outline and the annotation itself from the Annotations
section. Or to keep the annotation's text around and just remove the link to it, delete only the link. Then choose
Tools > Remove Orphaned Links to remove reverse linking from the Annotations page.
