Import Text from Other Applications
Insert text from another application into your outline--such as a report or letter written it
TextEdit or Microsoft Word--by importing it.
To import text from another document, open the outline page you want to import to,
choose the File > Import command, and open the document from the Import panel. Or,
Command-Shift drag the document from the Finder to your outline.
To import several documents at once, copying each one's contents to a separate page,
select the documents in the Finder, and Command-Shift drag them to the Contents page
or a section listing.
WHAT ELSE
You can import text from many types of documents, including plain text (.txt), Rich Text Format (.rtf), vCards
(.vcf), XML files (.xml), OPML (.opml), Tab-delimited (.tab), and Comma-delimited (.csv). To import Microsoft
Word documents (.doc), you must be using OS X version 10.3 or later.
