Printing this User's Guide
The
NoteTaker User's Guide
is designed to be printed on two-sided paper and used like a real
book. Download the NoteTaker Manual.pdf file from the Aquaminds Web site (there's a link to
it in the window that appears when you install NoteTaker). Then take this file to a copy shop or
send it to your favorite Web binding service to be printed. Or print it yourself using the two-sided
setting in the Print panel, and "bind" the printed pages however you want--using a good old-
fashioned stapler or three-hole punch.
To get the best results, print the NoteTaker Manual.pdf file downloaded from the Aquaminds site
(not the version opened from the Help menu), using Adobe's Acrobat Reader. You can download
Acrobat free from http://www.adobe.com. In the Print panel, deselect any setting that scales
printed output (that is, print contents at 100%). Also, select any option for printing at best quality.
If your printer supports two-sided printing, choose that option, too (and use heavy stock paper).
Using the Interactive Online Help
When you open the
NoteTaker User's Guide
from the NoteTaker Help menu, you can browse a
clickable table of contents and index, do searches, and click links in the document itself. If
you're running Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther) or later, you can do this in Preview. Otherwise, use
Acrobat Reader, which you can download free from http://www.adobe.com.
