View One-Line Summaries
To condense long entries into a summary view where you see only their first lines, display
entries in single-line mode. When you do this, only the first line of the entry is displayed when
you're not working in it.
To display an entry in single-line mode, select or click in it (or drag around several
entries to select them all at once). Then choose Format > Multi-Line or press Esc. Do
this again to switch selected entries back to multi-line mode.
To have all new entries be in single-line mode, go to NoteTaker's Entries preferences
and uncheck the "Make all new entries multi-line" option. To have Return, rather than
Command-Return, add a new entry in this mode, also set the "Return Key in Single-Line
Mode" option to "Adds entry."
WHAT ELSE?
Click an entry's multi-line icon (if it's showing) to switch the entry to single-line mode. Click in the same location
to return to multi-line mode.
Outline entries in single-line mode display any pictures as small thumbnails. (Pictures reassume their original
size when you switch the entry back to multi-line mode.) Adjust the size of these thumbnails using NoteTaker's
Entries Preferences. See "Customize Outline Display" on page 127.
