Rearrange and Delete
You rearrange or delete pieces of your outline pretty much as you'd expect--by dragging a
section, page, or entry, or selecting something to cut, copy, or delete. Do this from any part of
your notebook, to reorder whole sections in the Contents, move pages within a section, or
rearrange outline pieces on an individual page.
To move a section, page, or entry within the same view, drag its control up, down, or in
the case of an outline entry, to any indent level.
To move or copy a section, page, or piece of an outline to anywhere in the same
notebook or another one, or to delete anything, make a selection and cut, copy, or delete
the selection.
To delete an entire page or section, go to the page or section listing and choose
Edit > Delete.
WHAT ELSE?
Click in an entry to paste inside of it, at the insertion point.
Drag around multiple entries to select, and then drag, cut, copy, or delete them all at once.
Look in the Edit > Select menu for convenient ways to select entries at various levels of the outline.
Also rearrange entries on a page using commands in the Outline menu.
Power tips:
Option-drag an outline entry (and its subentries) by its control to make a copy of it--either on the same
page, or to a page in another open notebook.
Dragging an entry by its
control moves it and its
subentries
Clicking here selects the
entry (and its subentries) to
be cut, copied, or deleted
Pasting after the selection
