NoteTaker and Podcasting
Using NoteTaker, you can not only listen to podcasts, but even record and publish your own.
Teachers, students, business professionals, and researchers alike can take advantage of the
power and reach of podcasting, using a combination of NoteTaker's embedded Web browser,
mp3 metadata support for Voice Memo recordings, and our exclusive Simple Podcast CreationTM
toolkit.
Listen to Podcasts
Listen to or download podcasts while browsing Web pages in your notebook. Just open a
browser in a Web entry and browse to the page offering the podcasts. NoteTaker is not itself a
"podcaster" application, but you can stream podcasts from the Web page, or download them to
iTunes.
For details on Web entries, see "Browse the Web in a Notebook" on page 104.
Record Podcasts
NoteTaker's built-in Voice Memo tool now supports mp3 metadata input and editing, allowing
you to add custom tags or "metadata" to your Voice Memo recordings. This allows your memos
to be identified when played from a podcast player, such as iPodder or iTunes.
For details, see "Tag Voice Memos with MP3 Keywords" on page 99.
Publish Podcasts
To broadcast your voice memo recordings as a podcast, use our free Simple Podcast CreationTM
toolkit. The kit includes an installer for adding the Podcast export transform to NoteTaker's
Export NTML dialog, an example podcast template, and basic instructions for getting started.
To download the free kit, go to www.aquaminds.com/podcasting.jsp.
