Set File Management Preferences
Use the General Preferences to tell NoteTaker exactly what to open when you start it from the
Finder or the Dock, and how to perform general housekeeping tasks, like automatically saving
changes to notebooks while you're working in them, saving backup copies of notebooks, and
compacting their indexes to keep notebook files from getting too big.
WHAT ELSE?
To compact indexes yourself and not have it happen automatically, select Manually under the Compact Index
settings, and compact a notebook's index with the Tools > Compact Index command. Also use this command
if for any reason the Index should become damaged.
