Excerpt a Folio
To excerpt a page or section from a notebook to share or distribute among others--such as a
schedule to share with coworkers, or recipes to send to a friend--use the Page Folio tool. This
creates a separate folio file that opens in a new notebook window. It won't have backgrounds or
formatting from the original notebook--just the default appearance of a new notebook.
1
Open the page or section you want to excerpt as a folio.
2
Either drag the Page Folio tool to the desktop or Dock, or click the tool and save the
folio in the Finder.
WHAT ELSE?
To email a folio, use one of NoteTaker's Email tools--see the next topic for details.
To share notebook pages with people who don't have NoteTaker, save them as a PDF. See "Save a PDF File"
on page 118.
You can also use the Page Folio tool to assemble a new notebook from pieces of other notebooks. See "Insert
Pages from Other Notebooks" on page 36.
See who created an excerpted folio by displaying the Creator attribute. See "Show Outline Attributes" on
page 26.
