Search the Web from a Notebook
Use the Web search Field in a notebook's toolbar to search the Web using any of your favorite
search engines--Google, Yahoo, Dictionary, and many more. Browse results in NoteTaker
itself--either within your outline, where you can save the search to run again later, or in a
separate NoteTaker window.
1
Make the Web Search Field appear in the notebook's toolbar using NoteTaker's
Toolbar preferences.
2
Select a search site from the field's menu, type the word or phrase you're looking for,
and press Return.
WHAT ELSE?
To display results within your outline vs. in a separate window, see "Build Your Own Toolbar" on page 132.
To customize which sites appear in the Web Search Field's menu, see "Add Web Search Sites" on page 107.
For tips on browsing the Web in NoteTaker, see "Browse the Web in a Notebook" on page 104.
Perform other powerful searches using commands in the Scripts > Web Research Agents menu (choose Help
in the same menu for details). Or use NoteTaker Dashboard Widgets (OS X version10.4 or later). See
"NoteTaker Dashboard Widgets" on page 160.
Set up your toolbar to perform Web searches and email results, in three easy steps: 1) Click the New
Page tool to create a new page. 2) Use the Web Search field to perform a search and display results on the
new page. 3) Email the results using the Email Page Folio tool.
